Toybox

A free Claude skill for toy cartoon explainers

It explains anything the way a cartoon would: by escalation. A tiny first try, a joke at its expense, then "So, you…" fix after fix, each one growing the build on screen, until someone knocks on the door. Everything happens in one sunny backyard with a striped lawn, white houses and a big lumpy tree, acted out by vinyl toys with painted faces: a kid in an orange hoodie, a dad in a red cap, a grandma, a raccoon in a tiny business suit and a little tin robot. A new shot every second or so, one caption word at a time, and big sticker words that slam in next to what they name. It ends on your keyword on a comment card.

What it makes

  • Vinyl-toy characters with painted faces that blink, talk, cheer, scream and point
  • One sunny backyard: a striped lawn, white houses with red roofs, picket fences, a big lumpy tree
  • Builds that grow on screen: a platform, a wobbly tower of cabins, a monument, a skyscraper
  • One caption word at a time, and sticker words like "$30!" slammed next to what they name
  • Poofs, confetti, a knock at the door, and a comment card with your keyword at the end

Best for: Funny explainers and stories that escalate: how a small thing became a big one, a price that got out of hand, a twist at the end.

Twelve frames from a finished Toybox reel, in order
Twelve frames from a finished Toybox reel. The agent gets the same picture to match.

What you need

  • Node 22 or newer
  • Chrome or Edge
  • ffmpeg
  • An ElevenLabs API key (the free plan works to try it)
  • A graphics card
  • three.js (the agent installs it)

40 to 60 seconds · One fast voice, with free estimated timings before you spend any credits · Drawn in the browser with three.js, about 8 minutes for a 57-second reel

How to use it

  1. Morphy: it's built in. Open Settings → Community → Playground → Content skills and add Toybox to a chat in one click.
  2. Claude Code: save the file as ~/.claude/skills/toybox/SKILL.md, with the reference frames beside it as reference.jpg, then ask for a video or run /toybox.
  3. Codex or any other agent: add it as a skill, or attach the file to your first message.

Your first video

Make a 55-second Toybox reel: how one prompt in a text file turned into my whole content system.

The agent checks your setup, writes the script, makes the voice, renders a few stills to check and then every frame, and hands you the MP4. Posting it is up to you.

Questions

Is the Toybox format really free?
Yes. Download the .md file: no account, no email, no paywall. Use it for as many videos as you like.
What do the voices cost?
The voice comes from ElevenLabs. Its free plan is enough to try the format (about 10,000 credits a month, roughly one per character of script). Posting videos that promote anything needs a paid plan for the commercial licence, from $6 a month.
Does it work with Codex too?
Yes. It's a standard SKILL.md, the skill format Claude Code and Codex both read, and Morphy has it built in. Any other agent that can run code can follow it if you attach the file.
Do I have to label the video as AI?
On Instagram, a reel narrated by a realistic AI voice needs Meta's AI info label; switch it on when you post. On YouTube and TikTok, check the AI disclosure setting when the content looks realistic.
