Short answers to the questions people ask most.
Is Morphy free?
Yes, Morphy is free while it's in early access. It runs on the AI accounts you already have, so there's no extra subscription on top.
Which AI do I need?
One account with any of these is enough: Claude, ChatGPT (for Codex), GitHub Copilot, Google (for Antigravity), Grok or OpenRouter. OpenRouter has free models and Ollama runs models on your own computer, so you can start without paying anything. See Connect your AI.
Is there a Mac or Linux version?
Not yet. Morphy runs on Windows 10 and 11 for now, and a Mac version is on the way. Join the Discord to hear when it's ready.
Where do my files and chats go?
They stay on your computer. Your messages go straight from your computer to the AI you picked, never through a Morphy server. See Your files and privacy.
Can I use it on my existing projects?
Yes. Create a project and choose your folder. Your agents work right inside it, with a terminal next to them. Your files stay where they are.
How is this different from running Claude Code or Codex in a terminal?
It's the same agents, signed in with the same accounts. Morphy gives them one place to work: several agents side by side on a canvas, a project for every folder, what they build visible as cards, and Morphy to start and keep track of them for you.
Do agents ask before they change my files?
Not by default: new chats start in No guardrails, so agents work without stopping to ask. Switch a chat (or the default) to Ask first if you want to approve each change. See Permissions.
Can I run several agents at the same time?
Yes, as many as your AI plans allow. Each chat runs on its own. Watch them side by side in focus mode, and use the bell to hear when one is done.
Can I use Morphy from my phone?
Yes, over your own Wi-Fi, with Morphy Remote.
Does Morphy keep working when I close the window?
No. Agents run while Morphy is open. If they're still working when you quit, Morphy asks first, and your conversations are kept for next time.
How do I update Morphy?
You don't have to: it updates itself the next time you quit. See Updates.
