Skills
Save instructions you use often and attach them to any message with /skills.
A skill is a set of instructions you write once and attach whenever you need it: how you like a weekly recap written, the checklist for a code review, the steps to publish a blog post. It rides along with one message, in any chat, with any AI.
Use a skill
- In an empty text box, type / and choose /skills. Or type the start of the skill's name (
/weekly) and pick it from the menu. - The skill appears as a chip above the text box.
- Write your message and send it. The skill's instructions go along with this message only.
Pick the skill from the menu: typing its name followed by your message (/weekly-recap do it for this week) sends it as plain text, without the skill. /skills shows up once you have at least one skill.
Create a skill
Open Settings → Skills and click New skill:
- Name: becomes the skill's command, in lowercase with dashes (
Weekly Recapbecomesweekly-recap). - Description: what it does, in one line.
- Instructions: what the agent should do or keep in mind.
Click Save. To change or remove a skill later, click it in the Library.
Import skills you already have
Already have instructions in Markdown files? In Settings → Skills, click Import and pick the .md files.
Skills are stored as Markdown files in %APPDATA%\Morphy\assistant\skills, one file per skill, with a name and description at the top. You can also ask Morphy to write a skill for you; it appears in /skills the next time you open Settings → Skills or restart Morphy.
A skill to start with
New installs come with one skill, model-fan-out: it runs one prompt on several models or AIs at once and compares what came back. Try it in Morphy's chat: type /model, pick model-fan-out, then ask "which of these two database designs is better?"
